Artist Statement

My drawings and paintings from Taos represent the spirituality and aura of this beautiful and ancient landscape. Taos is surrounded by 12,000-foot mountains, forests, and wide mesa landscapes that are rifted by the Río Grande Gorge.

Through color, line, shape, and aura I try to find the personality of this wonderful natural environment. The microcosm of a mountain flower or a lone tree, to the macrocosm of the mountain forest, to the endless sky the displays the Milky Way, on nights the moon isn't too bright.

As a voyeur of this landscape and it's nature, I find peace and serenity from it's past and present, and feel hope for our future.
